Deccan Medical center is the brainchild of Doctor couple, Dr. Ramesh Doddanavar and Dr. Savitri Doddanavar. It all started with a small set up in Hindwadi and gradually developed reputation for being one of the best clinics in this part. So in 2000, the duo decided to take the leap of faith and established the Deccan Medical Center in the heart of the city, ie. At Goods Shed Road, approachable by patients from any part of the city. The imposing and spacious building created space for all kinds of medical facilities which proved a boon for patients from all over the city. Dr. Ramesh Doddanavar
Born in 1956 in Belagavi, Dr. Ramesh had his schooling from Tilakwadi High School and later joined GSS College. He completed his MBBS in 1976 and M.D. in 1980 from J. N. Medical College, Belagaviecuring 2nd rank and earning 3 Gold Medals to Karnatak University. He completed his Cardiology training from Bombay hospital for 2 years and later from the Hill Royal Hospital at London for a year.
He completed his ECFMG (US) and MCCEE (Canada)
Research Papers presented
Dr. Ramesh Doddanavar has presented Research papers at Paris, Rome, Washington and San Fransisco at Conferences on Diabetes and Cardiology. He has presented papers on cardiodiabetology at State Conferences, CSI, API and National Conference RSSDI. He was also a faculty speaker at RSSDI, API, NNEF Symposia and Speaker at various Diabetes meets.
Conducted Diabetes camps. Attended IDF, EASD, ADA and other international conferences.
In 2000, he, along with his doctor wife, Dr. Savitri, started the hi-tech multi speciality hospital Deccan Medical Center at Goods Shed Road in Belagavi.
